Open Mic Night is Back!

After a three year hiatus, thanks to Awnish and the Unique Restaurant Group, Open Mic Night has returned to the Dickens Pub in downtown Burlignton. Every Tuesday from 9pm until Midnight local and traveling musicians can practice their craft in front of a supportive non judgemental crowd of musicians and pub patrons.  The success of the past created many friendships and led to the creation of some local bands. Picking up after three years is like starting over. We look forward to seeing some old friends and making many new ones.

Burlington has always had great musical talent and boasts the largest free music festival in Canada with the Sound of Music Festival held every Father’s Day weekend.

The options and support  for upcoming musicians has thrived in the past but has been plagued recently with venues closing throughout the province.  The Dickens and URG would like to support the local scene and are doing so by providing the space, gear and Tuesday night for the return of the Open Mic. We here at B.A.M. are pleased to be a part of it.

Open Mic Night is for the music scene and community and will support the scene as long as the scene and the community exist and participate.

No promise, but we will try and capture the sounds of the evening the same as we did three years ago and share them with you. You can hear some of the latest and tunes from the archives by visiting the B.A.M. Reverbnation page here: https://www.reverbnation.com/bamproductions4
